Oriental Beauty (Competition Tea) 苗栗東方美人，2022比賽茶

Oriental beauty is a famous Taiwanese tea which more than a century ago became one of Queen Victoria’s most favorite beverages. The name “Oriental Beauty” was given by the Queen, when she was impressed with the gorgeous beauty of the tea leaf and the color of the tea broth.

Incredible taste of the Oriental Beauty is described to have a honey flavor with a light, but very clear notes of tropical fruits. The unique taste is reached by a very special production process. When the tea leaf is on the stem, it’s bitten by the tea jassid. The insect biting the leaf allows the juice from the plant to come out and start the fermentation early.

因獨特程序叫「著涎」東方美人茶擁有天然蜜香味。當著涎過程中小綠葉蟬吸食茶樹嫩芽，因此還沒被採收時，茶葉已開始發酵造成此特有的獨特香氣。
