Tea Gardens of Pinglin
Pinglin District is a famous tea place in the north part of Taiwan. The history of this tea region starts more than 100 years ago when farmers from China and middle west Taiwan realised that Pinglin’s climate and altitude perfectly suited to grow tea. Pinglin is mostly known as the largest producer of Pouchong Tea. 80% of the world's Pouchong comes from Pinglin.


Pouchong’s flavor can be described as light, close to green tea due to its low fermentation level. The floral aroma with mild aftertaste are basic elements of Pouchong’s palette, however the flavor may vary according to different factors (harvest season, fermentation and roasting level, tea tree etc.).

坪林茶園
坪林是知名的茗茶地區。茶園佔全鄉百分之八十；四面環山峻嶺、森林環繞的山城，山明水秀、遊憩資源豐富。茶，尤其以「文山包種茶」最為之名。
文山包種茶為部分發酵茶中，發酵程度較輕微的茶類，色澤墨綠帶油光、茶湯滋味滑潤、入口生津帶活性，同時也能享受其撲鼻的花香味
