Basic Information

Zhen Cang Pu’er Tea is the tea of low fermentation what makes it to be classified as a white tea. White Pu’er is produced from leaves of the old tea-tree that is called “Yunnan large leaf”, which is the most common for Pu’er tea production and is grown in Yunnan province in China.



Flavor


This Pu’er tea combines fragrance, sweetness of white teas and classical Pu’er taste in one. From the beginning of the degustation you can smell flowery, sweet, very fragrant flavor with a slight reminiscence of orchid flower. However, the further you go with brewing, the more recognizable will be the taste of Pu’er big leaf tea-tree with its elegant bitterness and deepness. This tea can also reveal some of fruity flavors like pear with a slightly sour taste on the tip of your tongue.



Brewing


Zhen Ceng Pu’er doesn’t like boiling water. We suggest to use a water of 85-90ºC for this tea. Otherwise, it will give undesirable bitterness which might obstruct the tea from revealing its whole palette. When having 5 grams of tea for the pot of volume 300-350ml we would suggest the timing of 30-40 seconds for the first brew with adding 30 seconds to each next brew. With a proper timing and water temperature the tea can be brewed for more than 10 times.



Extra Information


This tea was made in 2018 year in China. However, it can be kept for many years or even decades. The beauty about low-fermented teas is that you never know what the taste will be like after years. It may become more fruity and sweet, or it can turn to honey or cinnamon. There are so many factors that affect these changes that it is hard to make any predictions. We only know that if the tea is kept in appropriate environment (low humidity, avoid straight sun rays), then it will not loose its taste qualities and value.

白茶,屬微發酵茶,是中國茶農創制傳統名茶。中國六大葉類之一。指一種採摘後,不經殺青或揉捻,只經過曬或文火乾燥後加工的茶。具有外型芽毫完整,滿身披毫,毫香清鮮,湯色黃綠清澈,滋味清淡回甘的的品質特點。屬輕微發酵茶,是中國茶類中的特殊珍品。雲南白茶工藝主要曬曬青茶的優勢在乎口感保持茶葉原有的清香味。
